Madelyn Coar, MS, DMD

Madelyn Coar is an Associate Professor in the Department of Endodontics at the UAB School of Dentistry, and is Director of Pre-doctoral Endodontics, and Director of Diversity. Dr. Coar is a past recipient of the President’s Award for Excellence in Teaching.

Dr. Coar maintains an active endodontic practice within the UAB Dental Group, and currently serves on the UAB Faculty Senate, the UAB President’s Commission on the Status of Women, the Faculty Policies and Procedures Committee, and on the Council of Faculties and as the Women’s Liaison Officer to the American Dental Education Association.

Dr. Coar is co-recipient of the W.K. Kellogg and American Dental Education Association Comprehensive Minority Dental Faculty Development Program grant, now in its third of six years of funding.
