Welcome to the Minority Health & Research Center at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB MHRC).The Minority Health & Research Center (MHRC) is a comprehensive educational, research and community outreach center focused on eliminating the health disparities of racial/ethnic minorities.

MHRC Membership Information
The University of Alabama Board of Trustees gave approval in September 2002 to establish the MHRC. The primary aim of the MHRC is to provide UAB faculty and other interested researchers an infrastructure to develop and conduct innovative research ideas for improving the health status of minority groups and expand the participation of minorities in biomedical and behavioral research and education.
