Welcome to the Minority Health & Health Disparities Research Center at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB MHRC).

The Minority Health & Health Disparities Research Center (MHRC) is a comprehensive educational, research and community outreach center focused on eliminating the health disparities of racial/ethnic minorities.

This website is an online resource where you will find information on our services, programs and leadership and up-to-date data on projects and grants. In the Resources Section you will find immediate access to links, to statistics, maps, books, publications, events and news related to minority health and health disparities.

If you are a member you can login, if not we invite you to visit our membership section and learn about the requirements to become a member - you can apply on line.

MHRC Membership Information

The University of Alabama Board of Trustees gave approval in September 2002 to establish the MHRC. The primary aim of the MHRC is to provide UAB faculty and other interested researchers an infrastructure to develop and conduct innovative research ideas for improving the health status of minority groups and expand the participation of minorities in biomedical and behavioral research and education.
