From Discovery to Delivery
The 2008 UAB Health Disparities Research Symposium highlights and promotes the research work of undergraduate, graduate, post-doctoral and faculty researchers in the field of Health Disparities in three categories – basic sciences research, clinical research and behavioral/community-based research.

Invited Institutions:        All academic institutions in the Southeast including Historically Black Colleges and Universities
 
Eligibility: Undergraduate/Graduate Students, Post-doctoral, Faculty
 
Prizes: Charles Barkley Young Investigator Awards
 
  Three cash awards of $300 for each category for post-doctoral fellows and faculty (oral presentations).
 
  Three cash awards for students $150 (1st place), $100 (2nd place) and $50 (3rd place) (poster presentations).
 
  Winners will be recognized at the Annual MHRC Gala.
